SHSD Community Outreach

I am currently scheduling and giving community presentations at libraries in underserved San Diego communities, so as to further educate the public about options for making their homes more sustainable. By targeting libraries, I am able to reserve space in community rooms that every member of the public is welcome in and can access for free. I’m also printing and handing out educational pamphlets I have designed. I’ve hosted three such events so far and am targeting one presentation every couple of months. So far, the community response has been really positive, and it’s been an honor to inform people about affordable ways they can lessen the negative ecological and environmental impact of their homes.
